Midland States Bank Foundation Announces $49,200 in Contributions to Area Organizations

EFFINGHAM, ILLINOIS – January 14, 2016 – The Midland States Bank Foundation today announced contributions totaling $49,200 to four organizations, including Champaign Parks Foundation, Presence Healthcare of Urbana, Centralia Cultural Society and Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum.

The Champaign Parks Foundation is the recipient of a $15,000 contribution to support the Youth Scholarship Program, which provides families the opportunity to get their children involved in fun and safe programs they may not be able to afford without assistance.

Presence Healthcare of Urbana, has received $10,000 for support of its “Dental Van” program.  The mobile dental van program promotes health by providing routine cleaning and wellness services to low income residents of the community. Presence Healthcare has three mobile dental units which house full-service operatories to ensure that individuals can receive a high standard of care.

The Centralia Cultural Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting area residents with the Fine Arts through education, exhibition, and performance. Centralia Cultural Society has received a $4,200 contribution to help support its capital campaign for improvements of items that have been prioritized as in the greatest need of replacement and/or upgrading.

The Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum was the recipient of a $20,000 contribution to help preserve and enhance the historic 1872 Effingham County Courthouse considered an “architectural gem”. The Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum Association came into existence as the result of a desire to promote interpretive culture and history as a means of increasing public awareness of the history of Effingham County.

The Midland States Bank Foundation was created to provide for the improvement of the general welfare, education and health in the communities where the bank operates and where its employees reside. Since its creation in 2011, the Foundation has contributed more than $350,000 to non-profit organizations throughout Midland’s footprint.

“In only our fourth year, I am pleased at the level of support we have been able to provide in the various communities we serve,” commented Leon Holschbach, President and CEO of Midland States Bank. “Through the Foundation, we enhance our ability to live up to our ‘Great Strength. More Heart.’ commitment by providing resources that can have a favorable impact.”
